Dill Pickle Saltines are an irresistible snack for pickle lovers. Crispy Saltine crackers combine with tangy pickle juice, ranch seasoning and dill to make a super tasty treat.
How To Serve
Obviously Dill Pickle Saltines make a great gameday snack and go awesome with a cold beer. They are also a party favorite and great for anytime you want to snack on something salty and tangy. They go wonderfully with a bowl of chili or soup. Eat them for movie night instead of popcorn.
Ingredients Needed
What’s great about this recipe is you most likely have all the ingredients on hand.
- Saltine Crackers– I use regular size but the mini Saltines can be used.
- Butter– I use salted, but you can use unsalted if that is what you have.
- Ranch seasoning– I use Hidden Valley.
- Dill Pickle Juice– from a jar of dill pickles. Be sure not to use sweet pickle juice.
- Dried Dill
- Garlic Powder
- Crushed Red Pepper Flakes– leave them out if you don’t want them spicy.
How To Make Dill Pickle Saltines
- Place the Saltine crackers in a large mixing bowl.
- Stir together the melted butter, pickle juice, and seasonings and pour over the crackers. Gently stir to get the crackers as evenly coated as possible without breaking them.
- Spread them out on two rimmed baking sheets lined with parchment paper.
- Bake at 250 degrees for 30 minutes, stirring every 10 minutes.
Let cool completely before storing.
Variations
- Use Club Crackers, oyster crackers, or Goldfish in place of Saltine crackers.
- Use spicy pickle juice if you want them extra spicy.
- Leave out the crushed red pepper flakes if you don’t want them spicy.
- Add a few tablespoons of grated Parmesan cheese for some extra flavor.
How To Store
Can be stored in an airtight container for a week. I love these containers with lids for storing things or you can store them in a ziptop bag.
