Mississippi Sin Dip

Mississippi Sin Dip is a super delicious cream cheese dip served in a bread bowl. Sure to be a party favorite!

The dip gets baked inside a loaf of bread until warm and gooey. Serve with crackers or cucumber slices for a great gameday dip or party appetizer. It’s a classic appetizer and the ingredients are simple. You are likely to have them all on hand.

Leftover Ham

This easy recipe is a great way to use up leftover holiday ham or you can buy pre-packaged diced ham.

Type Of Bread

You can use either French Bread or Italian Bread either in a round or an oval shape. You will hollow out the bread to make room for the dip. Save the bread pieces and you can dip them into the dip.

Mississippi Sin Dip Recipe Tips

  • A hand-held electric mixer is really useful for getting the ingredients mixed together smoothly.
  • Shred your own cheddar cheese for best flavor.
  • Try using crumbled bacon instead or ham or in addition to ham.
  • It’s not necessary to cook the dip in a bread bowl. You can make it in a casserole dish instead. Serve it with veggie slices for a low carb appetizer.

Make Ahead and Storage

The dip can be mixed a day in advance and refrigerated until you are ready to stick it in the oven. Leftovers will keep 4 to 5 days in the refrigerator. I would transfer the dip to a storage container and get rid of the bread bowl.

Spice It Up

To make this dip spicy, use 2 teaspoons of hot sauce and a pinch or two of cayenne pepper or red pepper flakes.
