Ingredients

  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • ½ teaspoon smoked paprika
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 ½ – 2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • ½ cup BBQ sauce plus more for serving

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 400°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or spray a 9×13-inch baking dish. Set aside.
  • In a small bowl, combine the chili powder, smoked paprika, salt, onion powder, and garlic powder.

  • Bake for 20 minutes.
  • Flip the chicken over and brush with the remaining sauce.
  • Bake for another 15-20 minutes or until the internal temperature of the chicken reaches 165°F. For crispy edges, broil the chicken for 1-2 additional minutes.
  • Remove the chicken from the oven, brush with more sauce if desired, and let rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing and serving.
