How to make Pepperoni Pizza Casserole at Home

- Cook the noodles and drain.
- Brown the ground beef and sausage in a skillet, season and set to one side.
- Cook the veggies in the same pan to soften them.
- Mix the meat and vegetables together.
- Mix in the pasta and pizza sauce and place in a baking dish.
- Top with shredded cheese and top with pepperoni slices.
- Bake until bubbling and the cheese has melted.
This is a great make ahead dish, and the leftovers will keep well for around 4 days in the fridge, so you can easily enjoy it over a couple of nights. Let the casserole cool completely before covering and chilling.
Leftovers can be reheated in a preheated oven at 360F for 15 to 20 minutes til heated through.

Pepperoni Pizza Casserole Recipe
Ingredients
- 3 ½ cups rotini pasta
- ½ pound ground beef
- ½ pound Italian sausage hot or mild
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon salt plus more to taste
- ½ teaspoon ground black pepper plus more to taste
- ½ medium onion chopped
- 1/4 cup shredded carrots
- ½ cup green bell pepper chopped
- 1 4 ounce can sliced mushrooms, optional
- 2 14 ounce jars pizza sauce
- 1 cup Colby jack cheese shredded
- ½ cup pre-sliced pepperoni
Instructions

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.

Cook the pasta noodles for one less minute than the time listed on the package. Drain.3 ½ cups rotini pasta

Brown the ground beef and sausage in a large frying pan, until the meat no longer has any pink, about 5-7 minutes.½ pound ground beef, ½ pound Italian sausage

Stir in salt, pepper and garlic powder and cook for 1 additional minute. Remove meat from the pan and set aside.1 teaspoon garlic powder, ½ teaspoon salt, ½ teaspoon ground black pepper

Save the drippings in the pan, draining excessive fat.

In the same pan, sauté the onions, carrots, and green peppers for a few minutes in the meat drippings, until softened, about 5 minutes.½ medium onion, 1/4 cup shredded carrots, ½ cup green bell pepper

In the frying pan, mix the meat, cooked vegetables, and mushrooms together.1 4 ounce can sliced mushrooms, optional

Add the cooked pasta and pizza sauce and toss to combine. Pour everything into a greased 9×13 inch pan.2 14 ounce jars pizza sauce

Flatten out the top, then sprinkle the top with the shredded cheese. Cover with pepperoni slices.1 cup Colby jack cheese, ½ cup pre-sliced pepperoni

Bake for 20-25 minutes, until bubbling and the cheese has melted.
