These Peach Jalapeno Margaritas are made for summer. They are both sweet and spicy and make a refreshing cocktail for warm weather.
Spicy Peach Margarita
The spiciness of these Peach Margaritas comes from adding jalapeno slices to the saucepan when you make the simple syrup. It doesn’t take long at all for the flavor of the jalapeno to steep into the liquid.
The jalapeno simple syrup gets mixed with tequila, chopped fresh peaches, lime juice, and triple sec in a blender. Margaritas never tasted so good! When you first take a sip of this gorgeous Peach Jalapeno Margarita, you get that wonderful sweet peach flavor, but then the jalapeno starts to hit you on the back end. It’s not super spicy, unless you really let your jalapenos steep in the simple syrup for a long time, but it really adds another flavor dimension and tones down the sweetness some.
Don’t forget to coat the rims of your glasses with coarse salt. I always forget to do that!!! And I love the way the saltiness tastes with a margarita.
Peach Jalapeno Margarita Recipe Tips
- You can use frozen peaches or fresh peaches.
- Grand Marnier or Cointreau can be substituted for Triple Sec.
- This recipe can easily be doubled.
Make Ahead
The jalapeno simple syrup can be made up to 2 weeks in advance. Refrigerate until needed. I like to store it in a mason jar.
