Cosmo Slush is a wonderful summer drink for Cosmopolitan lovers. It’s both sweet and tart and so, so refreshing. A Cosmopolitan is my all-time favorite cocktail.

What Is A Cosmopolitan?
A Cosmopolitan, aka Cosmo, is a vodka cocktail made with vodka, triple sec, cranberry juice, and lime juice. It has the perfect balance of sweet and tart and a beautiful pinkish to reddish hue. It’s been around for decades but was made really popular in the 90s by the show Sex in The City.

I love a Cosmo because it is a lot less sweet than most sweet martinis, but super easy to drink. While a classic Cosmopolitan is more fitting for a cocktail or dinner party, this slushie version is much more casual and perfect for a cookout or pool party, It has a slushie texture but is still delicious once fully melted.
Ingredients Needed For Cosmo Slush
- Frozen Limeade Concentrate– thawed.
- Powdered Sugar– adds a little extra sweetness and balances the tartness of the limeade. Powdered sugar is used because it dissolves more easily than granulated sugar.
- Citrus-Flavored Vodka– I use Absolut Citrus-Flavored Vodka.
- Triple Sec– Cointreau can be used instead. Adds a little orange flavor and more sweetness.
- Cranberry Juice

How To Make
- Whisk together limemade and powdered sugar in a 9×13-inch baking dish until the sugar is dissolved.
- Stir in vodka, Triple Sec, and cranberry juice.
- Cover and freeze for at least 8 hours.

How Long To Freeze
You need to freeze the mixture at least 8 hours so plan ahead. It will keep in the freezer for several weeks. Vodka doesn’t freeze completely so this cosmo turns into a slushy mixture that is easy to scoop.
