Black and White Brownies- with a chocolate frosting and both semi-sweet and white chocolate baking chips, these brownies are extra sweet and rich.
Brownies are my go to dessert when I need to bring something to a potluck. They are easy to make in advance and stay fresh for days. Plus they are great for feeding a crowd.
Doctored Brownies Mix Recipe
This recipe starts with a regular-size box of fudge brownie mix. Just add 1/2 cup of oil, 1/4 cup of water, and 2 large eggs.
Lots of Chocolate Chips
The large amount of chocolate chips, both semi-sweet and white chocolate is what really sets this brownie recipe apart. They make the brownies really fudgy and rich in texture.
Easy Chocolate Frosting
An easy chocolate frosting made with unsweetened cocoa powder is the finishing touch for these brownies. It is a thin frosting and will need to set up for about 20 minutes before you slice the brownies.
Black and White Brownies Recipe Tips
The white chocolate chips are supposed to be spread on top of the brownies as a middle white layer, but they are hard to spread in an even layer and there’s really no need to go to the trouble.
The pecans can be left out or substituted with walnuts or macadamia nuts.
Storage
Can be stored at room temperature in an airtight container for 4 to 5 days.
