The only prep for this recipe is adding all the ingredients to the slow cooker. No need to dirty a mixing bowl. You’ll add the bbq sauce, ketchup, brown sugar, bourbon, hot sauce, Worcestershire sauce, and dry mustard to the slow cooker. Stir to mix and add the smokies. So easy.
How Long To Cook Crock Pot Bourbon Smokies
Since all the ingredients are already “cooked”, the cooking time is short, about 2 1/2 to 3 hours on LOW. Or you can cook for 1 1/2 hours on HIGH. This is just enough time to meld all the flavors
What Type Of Little Smokies To Use?
There are a variety of little smokies available. You can find both beef and pork little smokies at any grocery store. Either one and any brand will work for this recipe. They are also refered to as cocktail wieners or cocktail sausages.
Equipment Needed
