  • Topping with the included coffee cake crumble or glaze recipes
  • Adding ½ cup of chopped walnuts or raisins
  • Swapping the cinnamon for an equal amount of apple pie spice

Tips for the Best Apple Cinnamon Bread

  • Be sure to choose a firm apple such as Granny Smith, Honeycrisp, Gala, or Fuji. Softer apples will turn mushy.
  • Dice the apple for a chunkier texture, or pulse it in a food processor for a more uniform texture.
  • Don’t forget to grease the baking pan to prevent sticking.
  • Swirl the apple bread with a knife before baking if you’d like less-defined layers.
  • Let the bread cool for at least 10 minutes in the loaf pan before removing; otherwise, it may fall apart.
  • To keep this bread fresher for longer, leave the bread whole and slice of pieces as you’d like to eat them. Slicing the entire loaf at once will cause it to dry out more quickly.
  • Microwave slices for 10-15 seconds to get that fresh-out-of-the-oven feel!
