Cucumber Dill Dressing is a creamy dressing with the fresh taste of dill. Makes a great summer salad dressing.
Also tastes great on salmon. This homemade dressing is sugar-free and low carb.
Homemade salad dressings are so much tastier than store-bought dressing and they are a cinch to make. Without all the preservatives, they have a much fresher taste.
Cucumber and dill is a natural flavor combination. They perfectly complement each other.
Ingredients Needed For Cucumber Dill Dressing
- Cucumber– remove the seeds from the cucumber. The seeded part is watery and doesn’t have much flavor.
- Mayonnaise
- Lemon Juice– adds some acidity. You can use a teaspoon of apple cider vinegar if you don’t have lemon juice.
- Fresh Dill– I don’t recommend using dried dill. Fresh dill is easy to grow in a pot during the summer months.
- Green Onion– chives can be used instead.
- Salt and Pepper– add them to taste.
Equipment Needed
You will need a blender or food processor to blend the dressing.
If dressing is too thick, add a splash of milk.
Best made at least an hour in advance to give the flavors a chance to blend. Will keep refrigerated for 5 to 7 days.
Variations
You can add a minced garlic clove or a pinch of garlic powder for some garlic flavor.
Add a little cayenne pepper if you want it spicy.
