How to make Juicy Lucy Turkey Burgers on a Skillet or Grill
Be sure to see the recipe card below for full ingredients & instructions!
- Mix together the ingredients for the burger patties.
- Form 8 thin patties with your hands.
- Top 4 patties with cheese and place patties on top and seal with your hands.
- Cook in a skillet or on the grill til browned.
- Serve in buns with your favorite toppings.
You can make the burgers up to 24 hours ahead of time and keep them covered in the fridge til you are ready to cook. They are best enjoyed as soon as they are cooked, but leftovers will keep for up to 3 days in the fridge and can be reheated in the oven at 360F.
I love to stuff these burgers with cheddar cheese, but all kinds of cheeses will work well. Blue cheese or goat cheese would add a nice tang, or use a mozzarella for a milder flavor.
Of course! These burgers can be made with ground chicken, pork, beef or bison.
I like to serve these Juicy Lucy turkey burgers in brioche buns with tomato and lettuce. Pickles and red onions work great, or add some sliced jalapenos for a spicy kick. Add some ketchup, mayo and mustard as liberally as you please.
