Meatball Parmesan Sliders Recipe

If you’ve been following me for a while then you know that my Mom makes the BEST meatballs of all time. It’s my Grandma’s famous recipe that my Mom has made her own, and they are literally second to none. They’re my #1 recipe that I would recommend on The Cookie Rookie!

Well we have taken those meatballs and perfected baked sliders! You’re in for a treat.

Whether you’re after an awesome game day appetizer or an easy dinner recipe, these Meatball Slider will hit the spot! Baked to perfection and a breeze to whip up, these little beauties really pack a flavor punch!

How to make Baked Meatball Sliders

  1. Slice the rolls in half, place in a baking pan and layer on cheese meatballs and sauce. Add the tops back on.
  2. Brush the buns with your garlic butter mixture.
  3. Cover in foil and bake for 20 mins then remove foil, sprinkle with cheese and bake for a further 10 mins.
  4. Garnish, serve and enjoy!

What are the best meatballs to use?

For easy I used frozen meatballs, you can go for Italian, Swedish or homestyle – they all work well. You can – of course – make your own meatballs if you are so inclined!

Can you make these Meatball Sliders ahead of time?

You sure can! These are great for parties because you can prep it all and just before baking, cover n foil and place in the fridge for a few hours until ready to bake.

What to serve with Meatball Sliders

These gorgeous min burgers are great as appetizers but they also make for an easy dinner option. You can serve with a nice, crisp side salad, fries and more. Here’s some ideas for sides:

Meatball Sliders Recipe

These Baked Meatball Sliders are a crowd pleaser! Juicy meatballs slathered in marinara sauce and cheese, nestled between soft slider rolls.

Ingredients

  • 12 meatballs thawed (Click for homemade recipe. See note.)
  • 1 package Hawaiian Rolls 12-count
  • 12 slices Provolone cheese
  • 24 ounces marinara or spaghetti sauce
  • ¼ cup unsalted butter melted
  • 1/8 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 2 medium garlic cloves minced
  • ½ teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/8 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
  • 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
  • Fresh basil chopped

Instructions

  • Spray a 9×13 inch baking sheet or dish with nonstick spray.
  • Slice the rolls in half horizontally and place the bottom halves in the baking sheet pan.
    1 package Hawaiian Rolls
  • Place 6 slices of cheese evenly over the roll bottom – the slices will overlap a little.

  • Top the cheese with 12 meatballs (one per roll).

  • Top each meatball with 1 teaspoon of sauce.
    24 ounces marinara or spaghetti sauce

  • Add the remaining 6 slices of cheese over the meatballs.

  • Place the tops of the buns on top.

  • In a small bowl, whisk together melted butter, black pepper, garlic, Italian seasoning and crushed red pepper. Brush the garlic butter over the rolls.
    ¼ cup unsalted butter, 1/8 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper, 2 medium garlic cloves, ½ teaspoon Italian seasoning, 1/8 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes

  • Tightly cover the sliders with sprayed aluminum foil and bake at 350°F for 20 minutes.
  • Remove the foil, sprinkle with grated Parmesan and bake an additional 10-15 minutes.
    2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese

  • Remove from the oven and garnish with chopped fresh basil.
    Fresh basil
  • Serve with a side of sauce, if desired. Enjoy!
