Apple Crisp Macchiato Recipe
Ingredients
For the Apple Syrup
- 1 large granny smith apple diced
- 1 cup apple cider
- ½ cup water
- ½ cup light brown sugar
- 2 cinnamon sticks
For the Macchiato
- ½ cup milk
- 2-3 teaspoons apple syrup or to taste
- 1 shot freshly brewed espresso
Instructions
For the Apple Syrup

Combine the diced apple, apple cider, water, brown sugar, and cinnamon sticks in a small saucepan set over medium heat.1 large granny smith apple, 1 cup apple cider, ½ cup water, ½ cup light brown sugar, 2 cinnamon sticks

Bring the mixture to a boil and then reduce the heat to medium-low and cook for 10 minutes, or until the apples are tender and the sugar is dissolved. Remove the syrup from the heat and set it aside to steep for 15 minutes.

Strain the mixture through a fine mesh sieve, making sure to press out the apples to extract all of the flavor!

Place the syrup in an airtight container in the fridge to chill until you’re ready to make the macchiato.
For the Macchiato

Combine the milk and apple syrup in a tall glass.½ cup milk, 2-3 teaspoons apple syrup

Fill the glass with ice and top with the espresso. Drizzle over additional syrup, if desired.1 shot freshly brewed espresso
